As book lovers, we at Highlighter have spent years building tools and communities for readers like us.
The idea for a “Self-Quarantine Book Club” actually came from @andrewchen, who tweeted about the concept recently and mentioned us as a team that might naturally build it.
We thought this would be a great way to encourage people to stay at home—and to create more human connections around the...

Heya! We made BlippyBot as hack project to make our Tweets more fun. It's really simple to use. Mention the bot (@blippybot) and a query term (excited) in your tweet. BlippyBot posts a relevant GIF. Hilarity ensues! :)
You can try it out without even connecting your Twitter account, but it works best when you're connected so that the GIF flows naturally from you in the...

We're excited to bring "Blippy - Make your own GIF keyboard" to the world. We've been working on new ways to use GIFs in communication for well over a year and even had some early prototypes of previous iterations out in the wild. But the new custom keyboards of iOS 8 really provide a great new way to deliver the product experience...

These are hilarious. It would be awesome if (eventually) it could find phrases, too! :)

Why convert the GIF to video when sending via SMS? Is this for Android users whose SMS clients might not support GIF?

This is fun! The emojis are pretty good visual quality. I think it would be even better if I could export my emojicate phrases to publish on Twitter or to send them via an iMessage. I'd like to use this kind of content in many contexts and not exclusively on Emojicate's app since I don't really have a network there (yet?). Could they be turned into images to share out?

While I think a well-functioning service like this is useful to end consumers, I'd be surprised if the successful ride networks are supportive of having 3rd parties get in between them and their consumer dispatch (is that why Uber is missing?).

Love riding my bike - cool idea - thanks for sharing. I definitely understand the utility when riding down a country road. In a city, however, isn't it constantly "on"? There tend to be cars and cyclists within 140 meters of you at all times. Curious how this works.

I'm excited to see someone doing this. The group messaging/broadcast usecase kind of reminds me of what drove a lot of early Twitter activity. Though it's no longer really as relevant on Twitter as audiences have scaled. Time to reinvent! :)

This is a really fun idea! I hope you update with the new emoji that were recently announced. I want to use "Man In Business Suit Levitating" for all my really important physical business cards. :P

Shoot! has a very fun tutorial and fun interface details. I love the chomping teeth while processing your GIF for iMessage. I agree with @rrhoover that making your GIFs from scratch can be really demanding for publishing contexts, but in private messaging it's a bit easier. Related: very few regular people create Vines that are entertaining.
Shoot!
Finally a way to create and send GIFs on your iPhone
