A fantastic resource for founders, covering both the fundamentals and some often overlooked aspects (e.g. 'High valuations aren't always a good thing'). Bravo to the HF team for continually putting out stuff like this (the Hustle Fund x Deck Doctors Pitch Deck eBook is another gem) for free. I only wish I could get a physical copy to stack alongside Democratizing Knowledge!

The early stage venture market serves as a critical catalyst for innovation and economic growth. However, despite its importance, this market has long been characterized by information asymmetry, leading to misallocated capital and inequitable outcomes.

Valuation for startups, how do you approach it?
I'm curious on two fronts here:
1) Do you view valuation as a useful KPI for your startup, tracked internally, to measure success across a range of metrics?
2) How do you approach valuation? Do you prefer to consider simple multiples on future ARR, or are you looking at some of the startup oriented qualitative methods?
The last year has been a rollercoaster for startup valuation, and my own...

What differentiates you from traditional, well-established offerings like BBR?
When you talk about 'democratising access to this asset class', how? Are you tokenising wine so you can offer fractional owenership of the super-expensive first-growths etc?

Hey @andrewgazdecki, do you do anything to help sellers figure out a sensible asking price for their company?

In addition to being a great product, Freetrade is backed by a great team with a sustainable approach to development. They may not be rushing out features like other companies, but everything they do add feels polished and well thought out.
Pros: Stock trading done right. Seriously. No fees, great UX.
Cons: Really can't think of any.

Most people I know basically get through the month just paying off bills to forget them as quickly as possible before they become a problem. Onedox makes that much less painful, and can help you find better deals.
Pros: Great tool for managing household finances
Cons: No support for council tax or water bills yet

I don't know of anyone who is as much an authority on bootstrapping and launching product ideas as Levelsio. He's probably also responsible for the plague of 'curated resources' on Product Hunt.
Pros: Bootstrapping wisdom from someone who lives that life
Cons: $30 might be a steep price relative to the length

I have much greater trust in Revolut as a regulated financial services company, than I do in any crypto exchange. If you are treating crypto as an asset rather than a currency - which I think is most people these days - this is a fantastic product.
Pros: Super quick and easy, fundamentally secure
Cons: It's closer to a CFD

How does this differ from @RevolutApp?
They've been doing the 'multiple currency accounts' thing for over a year or so, and are way ahead in terms of features and infrastructure - banking license in the pipe.

Education about personal finance is even more effective than simply raising income. I've got a huge amount of respect for financial technology products that help customers make smarter decisions, when the establishment has typically made a lot of money from loans and overdrafts from irresponsible spending.
