I spent 50 months studying why videos go viral. Here’s what I learned:
There are 3 main things every viral video gets right: 1 Stop the scroll. 2 Hold attention. 3 Make people want to share it. Let s talk about the first step: stopping the scroll. The key performance driver here is a strong hook. A hook is the first 2-5 seconds of your content that makes someone stop and think, Wait what s this? One of the best features of my app is its ability to create hooks and topics. Here are a few examples tailored to specific industries: Food Trucks: "I m challenging myself to beat a food delivery app by cooking the same dish faster!" "I m letting strangers create the ultimate taco by choosing random ingredients." Online E-Commerce Shops: "I m opening a mystery box of returned items from my online shop this is one of the craziest things someone sent back!" "I m taking a $10 product from my shop and transforming it into something worth $100." Hair Salons and Barber Shops: "I m letting strangers decide my next haircut and my stylist has to make it PERFECT!" "I m styling my hair using random tools from the dollar store can I make it look good?" Real-Life Example One chef told me her kitchen was too small to create good content.
