Case Study - How a YC founder generated so many leads he had to temporarily turn off marketing
I recently had the pleasure of speaking with Sam Ross, the founder of Numeral Tax, about his experiences as a founder. He started out his career as a Growth Product Manager at Teespring, spent some time in growth at Airbnb, then leveraged his learnings to build and scale multiple ecommerce businesses to the tens of millions of dollars top line range. While scaling his ecommerce businesses, he...

Hi Tonci! I've actually written two blog posts on this exact topic that you might find valuable (newsletter linked in my bio). One on general validation strategies and one on what questions to ask during user interviews to help you validate your product / idea.
Generally, at a high level I recommend trying to capture emails to help validate that there is demand for a solution:

The biggest one I've faced has been distribution. You can have an amazing product and no distribution and still fail to succeed because of it.
A great quote to illustrate this: "If you have gold bars but no distribution, they’re not worth anything"

The best way to attract investors to your startup is to not actually NEED investors for your startup.

I certainly have and I'm sure many other people here have as well. The way that I think about it is that the money I spent went to learning a valuable lesson -- It's incredibly important to validate a problem & product before you actually build the solution.
Apologies for the shameless plug, but I've written two articles on this topic that you might find...

Two things I have used it for that I've found highly productive:
(1) I've found a huge productivity boost for me around product design has been to speak stream of consciount into Apple Notes (speech to text) and describe what I am imagining from a design perspective, then taking that stream of conscious word vomit and putting it into GPT4 to organize and give structure to.
(2) I've pasted...

How to earn product of the week
Hey everyone,
I interviewed Sandra Djajic a few weeks back about what she did to make Klu succeed on Product Hunt and earn Product of the Week. I found the conversation quite insightful and wanted to share the key points with you all.
Klu, for those who aren't aware, is a tool that acts as your internal Google. It integrates with all of the tools you use on a daily basis, allowing you to...
