It's not surprising, in b2b even if you have a piece of software that solves a real pain point or is a vital part of a revenue-making process. You've still got to get the product out there and sell it but there is only so much one person can do.

Delivering something. In sales: getting a sale, marketing: hitting a mile stone, development: releasing a feature.
And then celebrating it :D

Both, but I don't like labeling it or being locked into a specific way of working (like 2 days a week in the office).
I get tired of always being at home and want to go into the office, and I get tired of the commute so want to work from home. Some weeks I'll work from home, some weeks from the office, some weeks both.
My start-up is in this space and I've worked with 100s of companies who...

Generating leads from social media/blogs/article. Really basic things like where best to post.
Still trying to figure it out.

So long as it's interesting and not just busy work, staying focused on a task has never been an issue. It's getting started on a task that I struggle with.
Try taking a short break or set up in a different room for an hour or two.

Sales and marketing is way harder than I previously thought.
Always thought sales spent all day not doing much and the marketing department just burned cash.... oh how wrong I was.

Grammarly, I've only been using it for 6 months but I've become totally dependant on it (which I'm not sure is a good thing or not)

Changing where I work, not for a different company but going to work in a different place or a different room in the house.
People have often said that a change is as good as a rest.

Before the pandemic i've always worked in an environment that would now be described as a "hybrid model". It was always difficult to know who would be in the office and if there would be anywhere to sit.
As it quickly became apparent that this would be the norm I decided to build a digital Whereabouts board that we had in previous jobs (though it was on a whiteboard).
From that inital idea we...

I looked at it and didn't bother reading it the first time, but there are several superb talking points And I completely agree with everything.
It's not just investors that are being more cautious, so is everyone. Unless you're selling something that's going to make someone money or fix a problem. You're going to have a hard time making them part with their money.

Paying for a promoted article in a blog
Has anyone tried paying for a promoted article in on a relevant blog site?
The pricing structures I've been getting back are far more expensive than what I thought they'd be. Curious if anyone has had any success with them or if it's a cash bonfire.

Hey, saw you on Hacker News yesterday, love the product and am interested to see where you take the product.
Anyway, my question - what's the typical workflow for your product, do people include a link in cold emails asking people to book demos and have you found that has a better response rate than waiting for a reply?
On a side note, as soon as I saw the product name I thought of WorkDay's...

There are many subreddits that are specifically for developers and I imagine the majority of developers have a LinkedIn profile, but also Hacker News (https://news.ycombinator.com/), Discord, like Reddit has developer communities.
Depends on what you're after really.

What startup hill will you die on?
Mine is: Your product has got to look great.
It can be feature complete and technically flawless, but to stand out from the crowd. It's got to look great.
