What makes explainer videos great?
As we are getting closer to our official launch date (so far we soft launched, no promotion yet), I am working on the explainer video. In your opinion, what makes an explainer video great?

I have built my new startup (https://birdslate.com) around async video messaging. In my opinion remote working is just a first step, async work as a standard is another. We should be able to decide where and when we work. Not everyone is productive at the same time. Sending short video messages to your colleagues is the best of the two worlds, allows you to be personal and use non verbal queues...
Do you think video messaging will be a lot different after COVID-19?

Only desktop. I like to see good pictures on big screen, I can zoom in and zoom out without any problems. I don't wear glasses however phone screen is too small for me to see the details and also many websites send smaller pictures for mobile users which makes zooming in pointless.
Do you do your online shopping on mobile or desktop? Why?

For me it was shipping the first product. Getting something on-line was bigger than raising money for selling the company. Without raising money or selling the company I would be still a maker, as I delivered something to people. Recently I soft launched my 2nd startup, and it feels great, having something out there.

Primarily by talking to the users and studying the competition. The healthy approach is to know your shortcomings. E.g., I am building Instant Video Communication for Teams (async video). It's not going to fully replace standard video calls, and I am aware of that. I focus on the problem I want to solve, but I know I won't solve all of the problems. I also know that I am not ready to serve very...

For me the answer is pretty simple: it is a project that started in my heart! I am building something that I genuinely believe in, and it is almost part of my DNA. It doesn’t mean that I didn’t believe in the things I created in the past. However, none of my past products were so close to representing my beliefs. That's big reason why I started my second startup, working on the product that...

What would stop you from trying asynchronous video communication?
Hi!
Last month we soft-launched an asynchronous video messaging tool for teams. However, we are struggling with getting an active user base.
We are trying to nail the problem, but after many iterations on our website (Birdslate), I concluded that either we aren't getting our product in front of the right people, or there is some blocker keeping people from adopting this kind of...

As I founded asynchronous video for team communication startup, we are almost entirely switched to async video using our own product. If there is a need for synchronous call then google meet or slack calls.
What do you use for internal team meetings?
