Makers. And I'm telling that as a hunter.
In general, it's bette to have an experienced Hunter to know when to post, how to post, what visuals are the best etc. But it's possible to post as a Maker and make it to the top.
I watched a productHunt webinar on YT when the team was encouraging Makers to post porducts by themselves!

I've never launched on weekends, but I think that might be the way to get to the #1 product which means you'll be placed in the newsletter and you'd get traffic from there. So, less traffic from the site, more traffic from the newsletter.
Is it okay to lunch on weekends?
