What's the most creative way of getting your first set of power users for beta testing?
I'm trying to see what clever ways people here have tried to get their first set of users for their product. Immediate network is an obvious choice but beyond that, what creative ways have people found success when getting their first set of power users?

This one is difficult. But let's put our assumptions to test. That's what we startups do all the time. And again, know the rules, 1. Just write your company / product's name. No explanation or links. 2. Reply to atleast 2 other founders with your answer to what you think their product name means. The more you give, the more you get. 3. What was your first product?
Today I launched #32 on PH and was thinking back to the first software product I made. It was a simple .exe popup I sent to a few friends...they had to type 'Andrew is awesome' before it would go away I was so pleased...
