👋 Hey Product Hunt :) I started ZipMessage to replace unnecessary live meetings with asynchronous video messaging. Our early customers love that it’s just as easy to send a ZipMessage as it is to receive one back from a customer, a teammate, a new hire, etc. ⛔ The problem Too many Zoom calls! We want to communicate asynchronously but current tools have too much friction or lack clarity. — Messages are scattered across too many 1-way links flying around. — Too much friction to ask customers and others to respond on video. — Live meetings put people on the spot. Since we’re remote, we should use async to our advantage. We want space to respond with our best, fully-baked ideas! ✅ The solution Our early customers switched to ZipMessage as their go-to async video messaging tool. Here’s what they love most: — Threaded conversations—with video, voice, screen, and text messages—flowing together on a single, shareable page. — Easy for anyone to respond by recording into the browser. Great for messaging with customers, clients, freelancers and others! — Personalized links can be shared just like a calendar link—but async! — Embed video intake forms on your own website. Plus: Transcripts, message templates, intake pages, Slack integration, Zapier integration, API and more... 🐶 I’m hungry for your feedback!

@casjam This is very well thought-out! Sounds like it’s gonna be solving a BIG problem of modern online collaboration. The fact that participants are not required to log in sets this apart. Notion and similar tools are also good for collaboration (though you'll need a separate piece of software to record your screen, audio, and so on). However, if someone isn't using them already, it's impolite to demand that they sign up, especially for one-off projects.

@casjam @mikerubini Mike, what are you planning on using ZipMessage for? I want to use this for cold outreach, qualifying customers and client on-boarding for data / software projects. I usually transition to their platform such as slack, jira, github for the project. I am hoping that this reduces friction and allows for efficient communication during exploration of problem to be solved and requirements.

@casjam @castillonis I'll use it to replace meetings / check-ins

Finally, a way to hold productive conversations without figuring out time zones, over-planning meetings or ignoring the new circumstances we're working in. Excellent work, Brian! I hope ZipMessage gets all the hype it deserves!

@patricia_egyed thanks Patricia! Nothing worse than meetings about planning meetings 😜
