YOU CAN BE is a children's board book that paints a little girl who takes on different professions of the 21st century and beyond! Much of the careers are STEAM focused (STEM + Art) to guide our girls to be innovators, leaders, and learners of the future.
Hi everyone!
My name is Paula and this is my first book and Product Hunt / Kickstarter project. I'm a new mother to a very active 1 year old and a small business owner.
As a mom, I want my daughter to grow up in a world where statistics do not limit her ability to achieve her career goals or to dream big.
And that is why I created this book to encourage kids (especially little girls) to reach for the stars, break boundaries, and be anything they want to be.
I made the character of the book a little girl, drawing inspiration from my daughter, but also because I wanted to see more representation of girls and women in these important fields.
Studies have shown that having strong role models and lots of encouragement can minimize the gender gap.
My hope is that this book will also help normalize the way girls see themselves in different roles.
