I couldn't log into my account after changing to a new iPhone. I used iTunes to back up my data. I have my password, and I didn't change my phone number, so I can verify myself via OTP (One-Time Password). I completed my verification with Orb, so I thought it would be secure. However, to make matters worse, the customer service representative named Ann ignored my messages. It's really disappointing. I hope they can improve.
As a technology anthropologist who's helped many companies bring software/hardware products to market, this is unlikely to succeed for several reasons. Growing mistrust of biometrics as a whole, the general market has zero trust for crypto right now, neither this hardware nor blockchain can scale at what would be needed at a societal level. I could go on.
Restoring from backup doesn't work. It says it has suspended my account. That kinda proves that this system is not decentralized. One more thing - the only thing that prevents someone to generate tons of fake iris images is that the hardware that creates hashes must be certified by a central party. In that case the central party can get as many coins as they like. That is 100% a scam.
I recommend anyone who has lost their money to an online scam to contact wiki support to help get your money or bitcoin back. Email: Wikihelpdesks at gmail. com their Telegram username, wikihelpdesk
Black Mirror-esque vibes aside, this project assumes that humanity is useless and hopeless, and that we've already lost the battle with AI. I think this view is incredibly pessimistic - we're a creative bunch of apes, and we'll manage to find ways to have thriving economies even if most or all regular jobs do end up being automated. That said, I do like the orbs design, looks like the robot from Portal a bit.
Nothing worked as expected so i filed a report via recoveringcoin 'com and my refund was done!
I love worldcoin and it's all initiative on universal verification through different touchpoints i love how they've already implemented as a login forms in a lot of apps.
