WorkFlowy MultiFlow adds a multi-column view to WorkFlowy, which enables you to maintain an overview over several trees at once, or refactor longer lists by copying and pasting between two columns, rather than scrolling up and down in a single window.

Hey everyone, Dave Stewart (maker) here. I created MultiFlow to allow me to build better daily schedules, but it does way more than that. I use WorkFlowy links to build custom navigation, and although game-changing to be able to jump directly to items, by opening a new page, you lose your original context. Adding multiple columns means you never lose your flow; just Cmd/Ctrl+Click links (or bullets!) to open the corresponding node in a column to the right. You can create as many columns as you need (though 2 or 3 is usually sufficient). It's up to you to use columns to drill down into items on the right, or just have a few favourite lists open at the same time. Once you have some column setups you like, it's easy to save and load sessions using the newly-updated UI. If you close your last column, MultiFlow will drop back to normal WorkFlowy. Just Cmd+click as before to jump back to MultiFlow. One final use for MultiFlow is moving items within long lists (we've all been there!). Simply click the page's last breadcrumb item, to duplicate the page into a new column, then use Cut and Paste to move items between columns. This saves scrolling the same list up and down and getting lost in the process. Hopefully you'll find this as useful as I do, and if you're listening WorkFlowy team, would you consider building this functionality into the core!?

?makers can you clarify how you keep the the workflowy data secure ? the extension permission requires read and change permissions. The idea and the implementation are great! Thanks!

Hey @gaurav_suman, Privacy policy is published here: https://chrome.google.com/websto... The main permissions are for WorkFlowy URLs and activeTab, which allows the extension to open frames, and load URLs, whilst on workflowy.com. As for data, the only thing read from the page are titles which are stored in the extension's local storage if you save sessions. Other than that, nothing!
