I am ilan, dad of 4 (who hate brushing their teeth 😭, but that was before 🤩) co-founder of Willo, the very first tooth-brushing robot for kids, available starting today for purchase through our Willo website (willo.com) 🎉
Willo is my second hardware company - needless to repeat that hardware is hard - but boy I am proud we've made it to today's milestone, i.e. general availability 🌅, which is no small feat 🙏🏼
7 years+ of R&D and manufacturing 🏭, 55 patents filed 📝, and above all, the result of the selfless dedication of a team of 33 dental professionals (3 full-time dentists and 2 Dental Hygienists in our team 💪🏼), engineers, and designers who worked day and night to make this happen. A team driven by the unshakable belief that the future of oral care can only happen through smart automation.
🦷 Why Willo?
In oral care, there’s a saying: “A toothbrush is only as efficient as the person using it.” It’s common knowledge among dental professionals that the main weakness of current toothbrushes is their user dependency. As beautiful but imperfect humans, we don’t always stick to a dedicated, professional-level brushing routine, which affects our results. Depending on how we position the toothbrush, how we move it, how forcefully we brush, how long we brush, and how often we do it, our results vary completely. It’s all the more true for children and for people with special needs. Willo brings consistency to this routine by cutting down on user error.

@ericahal Hello Erica! It works for children ages 6 to 17 to start with. When you order Willo, the first thing you'll receive from us if the "Fit Finder Kit" when children will bit on a piece of wax sheet to find out their size. Then you'll input their size on our website, and we'll ship the device + consumables altogether a couple of days later. We have 4 standard sizes that will cover all children sizes. Hope that makes sense!
