verylongshipping.com is a store where you can buy stuff that won’t arrive for awhile, for cheaper. Right now we sell one thing: Carbon Fiber Ridge.com wallets for 30% to 40% off, that will arrive a month from now or longer.
Hey friends, here's a little FAQ about very long shipping:
1. Why would someone want to sell on verylongshipping?
Money now is a lot cooler and more chill than money later. Verylongshipping gives you cash up front to make your thing and gives you a guaranteed customer.
2. Can I sell on verylongshipping and get cash before I spend money manufacturing the thing?
Yes! Signup at https://www.verylongshipping.com... just email me at evan@roomservice.dev.
3. How much have you sold so far?
We've sold about $2,300 worth. It's been a few days since launch.
4. If the product hasn’t been manufactured yet, what’s the difference between this and platforms like Kickstarter, Indiegogo, etc.?
The product isn’t manufactured, but it’s not a new product. Ridge sells millions of wallets; if you look on youtube for Ridge, you’ll find tons of videos about it. Ridge isn’t making a new wallet, they’re manufacturing more of their existing design. It’s really to successfully run a kickstarter every quarter to solve your cashflow issues. The alternative is to take a loan. But guaranteed customers are basically always better than going into debt.
5. Is this somehow a crypto thing?
It's the plumbing under the hood. But it's also a next.js thing, a typescript thing, a stripe thing, etc. No crypto wallet is required, unless you'd like to look under the hood.
this is awesome @flaqueeau! Been following along your recent iterations in the space and big fan of this idea. Great way to smooth out e-commerce for merchants, and gives a deal to consumers
