I don't mean to hijack this post but I think a lot of people are going to be disappointed with the number of people on this map. But hey, I'm glad there are other people thinking of the same idea.
Update: After receiving a great feedback from @gonelf We just change the flow of app and made it open.
So now you can see all PH members on a map without joining. You only need an account if you want share your location or want to connect with another PH member.
