Unclack is the small but mighty Mac utility that automatically mutes your microphone while you type and un-mutes when you stop. No more getting called out for clacking your way through a Zoom meeting on your mechanical keyboard! Multitask in peace, with Unclack.
I built Unclack after my new Keychron K8 keyboard started becoming the bane of my work video calls. 'AJ! Your keyboard!" was a daily refrain as I multitasked my way through our daily stand-ups. After several dozen incidents fumbling for my software mute button I knew there had to be a better way.
Unclack is built entirely using SwiftUI for macOS Big Sur and above. I loved the experience building a small, focused experience in SwiftUI that I could quickly deploy and share for free. I hope you enjoy it and share it with your clacky-keyboard-owning friends!

Nice fact of the famous "keylogger": Unclack monitors global key events (any key pressed on your keyboard) to mute you automatically. Absolutely no user input is analyzed, stored, or transmitted. (pasted from the privacy policy)
@baidoct It was originally designed for Big Sur, yes, as I was using some of the latest SwiftUI API's that are only available on macOS 11+. However today I'm happy to announce that I've published a new version of Unclack with support for Catalina! Check it out/download on the landing page now!
