Fun colors and entrance/exit animations. Surprising list of integrations (albeit not all baked and polished). Mildly disorienting IA for the top-level UX nodes. Is there any way to enter a phone number/email to invite someone? There's one serious issue with trustworthiness: unclear (on the very spammy side) FB invite mechanic. I tapped a button in the onboarding flow that said something like "Invite FB friends", with an expectation that there would either be (a) a picker on the following screen to choose individual friends to send invites to, or (b) an explanation of the sharing mechanic. Instead, the button simply changed state after I tapped it and gave a hint that all of my FB friends had been unintentionally spammed. Intentional growth tactic or unintentional UX oversight, that's a bullshit move. Text chats in the app are triggering some weird card-ization of low-salience phrases (NLP parser polish!), and tapping on those random inline cards opens a safari webview that has a broken back button (on iOS 10); need to kill and restart the app after navigating into this webview implementation. Also, notifications and unread badge count states aren't reliable right now: some notifications are arriving out of sequence, and badge counts are flickering.

Buyer beware! This product no longer exists. The webpage linked on this page has probably been bought by someone else who pretends to be for the Tribe product, but scroll down enough and you'll start seeing some very weird copy and injected spam ads. Clicking the app store links redirects to a fake messenger app. Avoid avoid!

The V1 was already great but the new one is so beautiful. The new features show the Tribe Team worked really hard to improve the experience. Congrats @cyrilpaglino @ldesserrey . The UI and UX are 🔥. Also the User Onboarding is one of the best I tried. 👏 Now I just need to invite more friends on it to use Tribe more :)

Been using Tribe for some time now, mainly to quickly update the rest of my team. Main advantage? Talk as you were in the room. Way faster than Slack or SMS. Keep it up guys!

Hey. 1st: absolutly great job. The design is just amazing and the concept works very well. It's a little bit slow when I am in the configuration menus, but it's impressive how easy it is to send short videos. 2nd. I think the overall concept is not viral enough. I would probably use the app if many of my friends were on it, but there is not this "special thing" that will make all my friends come. Maybe, it's because I don't know what to do with it: should i share events ? Personal message ? Use it for work ? As you said, it is currently used by people from 7 to 77. I am not sure that i want such an app. Those are just questions. You probably answered many of them already.

I've used the previous version on my smartphone, it was so scattered and felt lost while using it. But this shift is AWESOME !! Focusing on one thing and adding slowly features (if needed). Good luck guys.

Beautiful design and seems fun but very laggy on Nexus 5 with Android 7.0. And each time i click on the "return button" it close the app instead of coming back to prev screen

Also been on Tribe since the summer (thanks @8artd for the heads up). At first I thought "really, another messaging app?" (Not trying to be a hater) But then I tried it out and it really is different. It's hard to put your finger on it but once you try the experience - you'll see. The design, the experience, the "fun." I also think @cyrilpaglino is a huge part of the X factor. He's continued to impress me with his product vision, design acumen, and true hustle (not to overuse the buzzwords). He picked up from Paris, got a hacker house in SF, and has a wall full of post-it's for the roadmap. (@jtriest can testify) Can't wait to see what this team builds next - "see" you all on Tribe!

I found the signup process very frictionless, which is always welcome and key for social networking apps especially. Upon signup however, it showed that I had only one friend on the platform, @rrhoover, and I'd rather not bombard him with Tribe messages all day :P There's always the chicken and egg ghost town issue with two sided networks like this, has your team considered some sort of "single player" functionality to keep users around? Maybe the ability to receive messages from some "Tribe Celebrity" type users, or even allow them to send messages to those who don't have Tribe by sending an SMS or fb message with something like "your friend ____ just sent you a tribe message, click here to see it". Just some thoughts.
