Hey heey Product Hunt! What if you could invest in and own digital real estate on your favorite websites? What if you could fund your startup while aligning your community with your upside? What would the Million Dollar Homepage look like, reimagined in a crypto-native way? A few Internet friends came together to reflect on these questions. The result is The Modern Billboard Collective – the first experiment in tokenized advertising where you can buy ad space represented as NFTs that are freely tradable. If you believe any of our websites will succeed and more people will want to visit it in the future, you can buy a little piece of it now - represented as an NFT on a billboard - and resell it in the future for a likely profit. As a lot owner, you can upload an image + link out to a URL of your choice. Want to promote your company or project? Stick your logo in it. Want to show off your ape avatar and link to your twitter profile? Do your thing. Want to rent the ad space to someone else and make $? Dream big. really enjoyed hearing about this project. Thank you for sharing. A couple Q's that came to mind for me from the lens of potential advertiser: Do you share monthly impression data with potential advertisers based on "zip code"? Or unique users to the startupy billboard for example? Also in a past life, I did a lot of targeted direct mail campaigns which draws comparison to your digital real estate / neighborhood model, even though it's more disruptive. In that space you can get a lot of data about the zip codes you are targeting. Is there any thinking yet around how to help advertisers assess which "neighborhoods" are best fit for their messaging as you scale this? Much appreciation.
