The terraplanter is an inside-out planter for growing plants indoors. It holds water on the inside and diffuses it outwards, sustaining the plant which grows on the surface. πŸ’§πŸŒ±πŸŒΏ

This company is just a scam. They said the Tevaplanter will be shipped july 2020 but now i just received an update that itll be march 2023. I think they will keep pushing the shipment date forward till im dead. DONT BUT ANYTHING! I wish i never ordered the Tevaplanter.

Hey Product Hunters, Eran here - creator of terraplanter along with @elad_burko. We are really excited to share this project with you. Our vision with the terraplanter was to create a new home for plants to thrive indoors. We created an inside-out planter that functions as a water bank - the water inside and the plant grows on the outside. The material is solid yet porous; allowing water to diffuse through it. The terraplanters structure is built from 1,400 cells that are multi-functional. They hold seeds, host water droplets for plant roots to drink, and the micro texture on the surface of the cells provides grip for the plant roots to grip. We are here all day to answer any questions and keep an open ear to your comments and suggestions :)

I have tested this system on orchids, it wont work, Orchid roots do not attach to a constantly wet surface. Also it increases the chance of root rot. In their photo they clearly tied a flowering plant to the vessel. I also tested this system for growing microgreens. Most seeds fall off before germination and if you use mucilaginous seeds, grey mold grows on the roots not long after germination. This is purely an aggressive videography trick based advertisement campaign to sell an old failed idea. Also massively overpriced. It would cost less than $6 to make and they sell it over $60. A massive quick payday for them and a big disappointment waiting for poor customers. They are not even in the U.S./EU so you wont catch them...

@m_karbaschi Thank you! These are being advertised now on Facebook and there are going to be a lot of suckers falling for this stuff. I am pretty sure they are from China since that is about all I ever see these days advertising these things on Facebook now. :/

@mollyw They are most likely being produced in China. There is even a factory there selling them on Alibaba. But the team is from Israel where there is a pipeline to turn anything into a product to sell. They surely have a well organised big advertisement team which is pushing this product in all social medias. They have already sold ~$20 Million of these junks, literally rubbed the people. It is sad how easily they can do it and get away with it. There is no check and balance and no consequence for them.

@lucky_jeffman 😊 Yes, the terraplanter can grow chia, but it was designed to grow many different types of plants including: orchids, ferns, begonias, hoyas, mosses, dischidia, and even carnivorous plants. Thank you for sharing!
