Hey Fam! 🙋🏻‍♂️ I’m Chandrahaas, and I am absolutely thrilled to be part of this launch with Tern. A huge thank you to @tavishigupta for making this collaboration a reality. Reaching out to Tern with an idea and getting the chance to work alongside Tavishi has truly been a dream come true. This feature is born from my own story. My passion for travel has taken me to 11 countries, a journey I navigated with an Indian passport. For every trip, the first and biggest hurdle was the visa. I spent countless hours on my own, digging through confusing embassy websites and piecing together advice from the blessed communities on Reddit and Twitter. There was no single source of truth, just a constant sense of uncertainty. This personal struggle sparked a question: what if we could help people see the world through the lens of the visas they already have? That’s why we designed this application as an extension of Tern. It’s for the group of newbie traveler’s who, like me, feel overwhelmed. It’s built to show you that with your existing visas—be it a US, Schengen, or UK visa—a whole new map of countries might already be open to you, visa-free. Our goal is to help you understand that you can explore on your own, and that travel is every bit as adventurous and accessible as you imagine. This vision gets to the very heart of Tern's mission: to empower every traveler by making the world feel less complex and infinitely more accessible Taking this idea from an idea to a large-scale application would have been impossible without Tavishi. She supported this vision at every turn, helping me shape it into something that could genuinely help people. We believe that integrating this capability into Tern’s powerful planning suite is a game-changer. Now, not only can you plan your itinerary seamlessly with Tern, but you can also discover entirely new destinations you never knew were within your reach. I am incredibly proud of what we have built together and can’t wait for you to experience this new way of discovering the world.
