Hey Product Hunt! 👋 I’m Arman, a software developer with 18 years of experience who recently stepped into the world of indie making. I’ve always been drawn to using tech to solve everyday problems, and one thing that’s fascinated me for a long time is recommendation AI systems. Taranify started as a side project inspired by a simple idea: we often enjoy content that matches our current mood, yet most recommendation tools don’t capture this. I wanted to build something more intuitive and easy to use—so I went with a quick color quiz. Colors can reveal so much about our inner state without us having to think too hard, making it a fun way to start. For the past year, I’ve been developing, testing, and refining Taranify, and I’m excited to share that it’s been used over 12,000 times! Each session has given me insights to improve it, helping Taranify better reflect how moods influence our taste in music, shows, books, and food. While it’s still a work in progress—this is no easy problem to solve—I’m working daily to improve its accuracy and make it even more responsive to real moods.
