I built Standly because I kept forgetting to switch between sitting & standing while working. It was not until I herniated my L4/L5 and went thru a year of physical therapy, ESI shots, MRI, to realize I have to adjust every aspect of my life.
I tried other apps but I wanted a clean, on-screen interface with audible dings to remind me to switch. I also wanted to start small (20 mins standing, 10 minutes sitting) and build it up to 1 hour standing, 10 minute sitting. Then I added long breaks as well.
It’s a simple but effective timer for anyone using a standing desk (or just wanting to move more). Its available in Simplified Chinese, Korean, Japanese, German, Arabic, English and Spanish. I'll add more languages soon.
