Hey Product Hunters! We are happy to share our newly launched platform: remote.io 2.0 The past year has been incredible: we now have a great team which is dedicating more efforts to improve the platform. During 2020 we already shared over 10,000 remote jobs, but we will be pushing for further improvements, we're ready for 2021! About us 💁‍♂️ We are an international team of talented people working fully remote in 5 different countries. Together we develop products to support remote job seekers- and employers from all over the world. A special thanks to Monique van Bokkum and Wahyu Gautama who helped us with the redesign of the platform 🙏 We love to hear what you think, your comments and feedback are most welcome!

@niels_vugteveen Great website! 👏

@mari_matsuzaki thank you, we're glad to hear you like it! 😃

I had a very hard time this year with remote job boards leaving jobs up for weeks or months that had been fulfilled already. How does remote.io 2.0 handle that aspect? Thank you for making this. As anyone who found themselves unemployed during this pandemic can attest to, it's been a nightmare. We need more products like this 💕

@ellebelle thanks for the kind words! 🙏 the job listings expire automatically after 30 days, employers who post a job have the option to let a listing expire manually before that as well. Landing a remote job is definitely not easy, here’s some tips that will hopefully help:

 - Sign up for remote job email alerts so you can be the first among applicants (check the banner on the right side on our website) If you prefer, you can sign up for several job categories, you'd just have to repeat the process for each category. - Make sure your resume is ‘ATS proof’, often, there are hundreds of applications per job, and although it does not seem fair, recruiters might not always view your resume if it is not selected by an ATS system.

@ellebelle @niels_vugteveen That's so nice of you to share! I'm blessed to have just landed my dream remote job after a year of looking. But I will share this with several of my job-seeking friends! I already shared your platform with one and he loves it and says thanks 😎
Niels Vugteveen
@ellebelle congrats with your new job! 🎉 Our goal is to help as many people as possible to land a remote job, so if you or your friends have feedback, please let us know 😃

It lacks salary ranges 😥
Niels Vugteveen
@norbertjurga we do display salary ranges IF provided on the job details pages, but I guess you like it to be searchable or displayed on the job board. Your feedback is duly noted, thanks! 🙏
Tony Territo
@norbertjurga Just wanted to update you that we will be adding the salary ranges back to the job list in the future. Not too many employers provide that info even though we specifically tag it as a recommended field.
Niels Vugteveen
@norbertjurga update: salary info is added to the job board (if available)
Norbert Jurga
@niels_vugteveen Thanks for letting me know! In the future you may want to create a filter for only showing jobs with the salary. From my experience as a dev most of us look only at such offers 🤷
Niels Vugteveen
@norbertjurga you are absolutely right, unfortunately most employers don't add salary info to the job posts, so if we would create such a filter it would only show a few jobs. On the other hand, if you look at the type of companies posting jobs, I can tell that most listings come with good and competitive salaries.
