Absolute worst company. There may be a couple good editors but others are TERRIBLE with total ego problems who tear authors apart to belittle and condescend. If you have an issue at all reedsy you will not back the author they are there too back the people that work for them and will make them money. It’s an absolutely terrible company with no ethics, no morals, and who do not follow their own terms and conditions. Google editors and don’t use this garbage site!
Avoid!!! Yes, like the plague! If you want a sh***y reader review you can get on Goodreads for free!
I love Reedsy! It's my go-to app for writing and formatting my book as well as searching for others to help with marketing, editing, and book cover art.
Reedsy gave me access to a wide selection of designers for my book cover, which saved me a lot of time and effort in research. The website is very easy to use and being able to see examples of each designer's work helped me to choose the best person for my style. I will be using Reedsy again and would thoroughly recommend their services.
I was pretty lost when it came to getting an artist and editor for my book. Reedsy made it easy, not only to find the talent I needed, but also provided a workspace for the collaboration. It was easy enough to find people who fit the criteria I was looking for, and I definitely see myself using it again in the future.
Reedsy is the only place I trust to write my manuscript in. It is intuitive and quite simple if you ask me. I am happy to tell anyone new or old to writing, to try out Reedsy first, because they won't want to leave. I love how all my books are lined up where I can manage them. And that even if I only make an ARC cover, I have the option to have a cover to showcase my books. I love that I can find professionals who are not only brilliant but are there to really inspire and help get our books or other projects to the finish line. You cannot find this kind of genuine service anywhere else on the internet! Trust me I was scammed a lot before I found Reedsy and the collaboration it offers with real, REAL live people who do not take your money and run. I did a whole podcast about my experience praising Reedsy, with Angela Yuriko Smith on her Substack Authortunities podcast Extra │September 7, 2024. My advice is just do it, just get started on Reedsy. Start typing and the inspiration follows.
