Sooo much insight is locked behind SQL within orgs. I've seen a few other companies using LLMs to help with this. Curious how your approach is different and if there are any counter-intuitive learnings you can share so far, @rocketmanjb, @ramiabih, and team?
Rami
@rocketmanjb @rrhoover Thanks for the question Ryan! I think the key difference is we don't see insights only locked behind SQL, we see insights locked behind enablement. SQL is important of course, and AI has been able to write SQL for over a year now quite well, but then you have 4 main first principle problems that are above simply "how" to pull the data: 1. Is it accessible: SO SO many companies just don't even have their data away from native SaaS and excel sheets. Sure everyone is adding some sort of analytics, but if you want to know how many marketing leads are actually leading to signups, that is an easy question with a 60+ minute effort time. So one big thing is letting users login to all their SaaS so we ingest their data in one place. 2. Is it queryable: Some things just aren't really able to be done with SQL. Things like trends analysis, regression, good plotting, you need things like Python. Our platform does both, and likely more in the future. 3. What to ask: It's easy for some good people to ask questions like "what demographics had the best reaction to our campaign" but harder to ask "what made some campaigns better than others". Those open ended questions that can have complex answers can't just be a SQL pull, you need to find trends and surface results. We really believe more questions are unasked instead of unanswered. 4. Finally, what's the context: At bigger companies, the data analyst has no idea what's actually in the data they can access. We think when you just let an AI write SQL, you moved this dynamic from a person to an AI. AI still doesn't understand the context. What's a lead? What do you count as an expense? What's a conversion? When do we count a sale? When we get the money or lose the inventory? etc. We don't think fine tuning every model to every companies private data is the answer, we think it's context. We're building custom semantics that store all the context of a business in one place that an AI can reference to constantly understand and respond reliably. I hope that sheds some light and would love to know if there's anything you'd like to try with Querio that we can support!
