I was asked to write a review on a product I use on Product Hunt, so I wrote out a review giving my experience on the app, asking for a feature, and then saying why I only gave it 4 out of 5 stars. Then I tried posting, but product hunt said I need to log in first, okay fine, so I logged in, and guess what, it just brought me to the homepage of product hunt and the review that I had just written was nowhere to be found. So now that app is out of a review and product hunt itself has gained one. Great UX. Good job product hunt team. I can see you really thought hard about that. 👍🏼
Edit: So it turns out that if you go to the product you were writing the review for, and then click on the button to write a review "again", it'll populate what you had just written. I assume that is time based or something to do with cookies? 🤷♂️ Still not a great UX as if I hadn't gone to rewrite the review I wouldn't have found this out.
