PoachMe.dev provides a solution to the problem of spam recruitment. Show someone that your time has value by sending them a calendar where they can schedule your time and pay for it (https://bk.poachme.dev/Lazaro) alongside a customizable career snapshot.
I'm Lazaro Herrera and I am a part of shy team who does not like much public attention.
We built PoachMe.dev from our experiences in hiring. Having flaky companies, flaky recruiters or just straight up spam getting delivered to our inbox and LinkedIn turned into a hassle.
This is a product you can use right now to price what your hourly rate is and send it to your favorite recruiter which definitely didn't read your profile because they're asking for a technology you have never used while claiming "you're a perfect fit for the role". The calendar scheduling feature works just like anything else but you get a dual benefit of filtering out recruiters who think you aren't even worth your hourly rate and get paid your hourly rate to interview.
Aside from the calendar scheduling features, there's a career snapshot which you can use to highlight your greatest hits on your career alongside a new virtual business card which can be used to maintain an online presence with your social media links as well as your phone number and other contact information. All of our features are self-funded by the calendar feature so don't expect to be handing over money for a "pipe dream product" and you get out of our product as much as you put in.
@lazherrera Congratulations on the launch of PoachMe.dev, Lazaro Herrera and your team! It's great to see a product that addresses the hassles and frustrations of the hiring process. The ability to price your hourly rate and filter out recruiters who don't value your time is a valuable feature. The career snapshot and virtual business card also seem like useful tools for maintaining an online presence. Best of luck with your self-funded product, and we look forward to seeing how it helps job seekers in the future.
@albert_bourla I appreciate the congratulations. Self funding as a goal has been about proving the product can work and can deliver value even with some portions not being monetized. The feature set that's planned is rich but continues to support the base idea that your time has value.
