Love this concept... not sure this is the best implementation, but someone will get this idea right and win big. Might be cool as an extension or a cc on an email/tweet so I don't have to open up yet another app to create content. Swiping down and essentially preventing the content from spreading is too easy and seems to defeat the apps original purpose... Hey @rrhoover, I know you played with this... thoughts?

@jtriest @rrhoover Plague reminds of me of the app I am working on called Echo that was on PH last week (http://www.producthunt.com/posts...). Great to see other people tackling new social products based on location.

@shapob @jtriest I saw this app last week and was really intrigued by the concept of spreading information based on location. It actually reminds me of an app call Gummy by @abdur and team that was never publicly released (I wrote about it here). IMHO, the execution doesn't match the positioning or what I had hoped to find. I'm left swiping pictures people have shared across the world, none of which is nearby me. Maybe I'm missing something?

@rrhoover we loved the concept as well. However when we looked at our data people sparsely overlap in meaningful ways. Still live the idea just not sure how it doesn't always stay random.

@abdur I think that a group of people (like a neighborhood), no matter whether they are connected on a personal level or not, should have access to information that is relevant to their whereabouts. Curious to know if you've explored this scenario at all?

@jtriest Jonathon, not every piece of content deserves to be spread so there should be easy way to skip it. Plague gives a fair and equal chances for everyone to be heard by a huge audience without any efforts, not a warranty that your post will be seen by the whole world.

@eliaszudin just downloaded this app today. In a word, it's epic. Nice job - I'm picking this as the app to go big next year. I'm expecting your biggest challenge is similar to @rrhoover when he started Product Hunt - how will you protect the quality of the content other than leaving it unfiltered & unbiased?
