Hey Product Hunt,
I'm Paul Betts, the lead developer of Peach, I also was the lead developer on the Slack Desktop application. In my spare time I've been working on this app, which adds a lot of useful features to Windows 10's Virtual Desktop feature, and I'd love for you to check it out.
This app is kind of an experiment, to bring the Indie Ethos of the macOS / iOS development scene to the Windows audience, spending a lot of time on polish and making the end-to-end experience really great. I think there's not a lot of people doing this right now on Windows, so I'm excited to Make Something Good and get it out there to people.
I'll be around all day answering questions! Thanks for your time.
@paulcbetts Hey Paul, I've used a number of your open source work (Akavache and ModernHttpClient) regularly in other projects. Thanks!
I've just started using Virtual Desktops on Windows 10 (after discovering them by accident when all my windows disappeared) but I'm gradually using them more and more to keep windows open for my private projects and freelancing. Just downloaded and trying it out now, switching desktops with Ctrl + shift and backspace is wonderful!
From a technical standpoint, did you have to do some digging to find the APIs that enable Peach's features? I'm guessing they might not be that well documented.
@_jamesmundy Cool! Glad these libraries are useful and the app too!
Some of the Virtual Desktop APIs are documented / public APIs, others like being able to get the Desktop of an arbitrary window are undocumented, though I wouldn't be surprised if they were documented in the future, they seem fairly stable.
