Hi guys, I’m excited to introduce to the Product Hunt community my new iOS/Android app.
I tried to keep it as simple as possible while providing the most important information to users: where to park their cars in the street for the lowest cost possible.
Parkizi is an app that allows people to « buy » and “sell” street parking spots starting at €0.99.
It’s simple, you’ve got a parking spot and you’re leaving, open the app and let other users know you’re leaving. People around you who are looking for a spot will receive a notification and they can buy you the spot for an amount between €0.99 and €9.99 (depends of the times, the traffic, the place where you are etc).
The app will be available in a few days, you can receive a free parking spot right now by subscribe on our website : https://parkizi.fr
So, I need your feedbacks, suggestions, and love before the app will be available.
From Paris with love
@meeehdi_92 good job on the product! Just so you know, there has been many attempts at this, and here's my feedback:
1) Selling a parking spot is a big problem for the city, because it is not your spot to start with. Yes, you're selling the "information" I know I know. But those users who won't have smartphones can't access that information and you transform a public property in a private luxury. Cities hate that.
2) $1 is not enough incentive for a user to "save" the spot when (s)he leaves the spot, and if the car leaves the spot, there's very little chance that a new Parkizi user will arrive to that parking spot on time before another random car parks at that spot
How have you decided to tackle these?
Hi @alexeichemenda, thanks for your feedback. For your first remark, Paris is a complicated city, there isn't a lot free parking spots but a lot expensive private parkings, these kind of parking are too expensive for many people. So people, need some apps like that, it's the "Uberisation", and the city has to accept the needs of citizens. So we will see how it's gonna be. For your second remark, we're not sure about the minimum price, maybe we will increase it.

>Paris is a complicated city
Less than you think
>there isn't a lot free parking spots but a lot expensive private parkings
Just like most major cities (I've also lived in Paris for 4 years ..)
>it's the "Uberisation"
I'm out :)
