Wow I am pleasantly surprised by this! The UI is incredibly fitting for the value you're adding and product you're building. I didn't even know I WOULD want to know and Old English word-of-the day. Until now.
There's so many things I love about this. I love that this your first app built (Congrats man, it's a big deal and well done on launching!). I love that this is a collab between you and your wife, must have been a blast working on this together. And I love that you built something I have never even been close to encountering. Oh love the widget tool as well.
Well done all around!
Thanks so much! I didn’t know anything about Old English until I met my wife. Now that I do I thought it would be fun to make an app for her and to share it with a whole new audience. :)
Congratulations on launching your first app! I am a teacher myself and as someone who loves languages, I am excited by apps that make learning fun. I really like the UI as well and the medieval design is interesting and very well done. It’s a pretty cool app that I plan on using for a long time.
Thanks for sharing!
@ryanlintott Yess! I am a Chinese Mandarin teacher and all my prior studies and teaching expertise has been in Chinese. In fact, I have created a language learning app that helps people speak and learn Mandarin. That is why I was very intrigued by your app and have been learning so many new words and gaining more knowledge about the English language itself.
@daniel_saidi The color palette is based on the limited colors available to medieval scribes. This historical limitation helps all the manuscript images fit in perfectly with the UI elements.
