Nice idea, @betoayesa. Love how the service estimates my location to surface cost of one-way flights.
Idea: you may want to turn this into an email-based product, similar to Hitlist's initial focus, surfacing awesome trips based on people's location, interest, and budget. I'm afraid it may be difficult to make this a site people regularly visit (at least after their initial introduction) but a weekly or trigger-based email could be sticky.
@rrhoover Nice idea. I was needing feedback so hard ... : ) Something like Hitlists would be very cool, but I find it difficult to show value¿? not sure ... I see a lot of event websites, where you can't see ANY event ... So I focused on showing events from the very beginning.
But makes a lot of sense to put a form, and get email and interests from users as a pre-step to Hitlists way.
@rrhoover@betoayesa I totally agree! I think this would be great as an email product. The idea is great, but it's a bit overwhelming when you land on the site and are presented with such varied event types, dates, locations, etc. So if you pick a theme or a big event for each email, it could be a really exciting curated experience.
@themersk@rrhoover the word is overwhelming... definitely I'll will try Eventsletter. I'm bad for names : ) Other overwhelming thing is the algorithm that calculates event's popularity.
@themersk@rrhoover I followed you guys. What was a total mistake was to post it here with no option to leave an email. Now you can leave your email, and get weekly updates with relevant events. I hope to be sending the firsts emails in 2 weeks.
Hi! It's my first submission to Producthunt. Natzar is an events aggregator from all kinds: Music concert, meetups, facebook events, eventbrite events, etc ... adding flight and hotel prices.
Example: IT related events worldwide: http://www.natzar.co/en/collecti..., Music concerts: http://www.natzar.co/en/collecti....
Thank you in advance for your feedback.
This is a great idea, but it needs some onboarding. Ask me where I'm from. I'm not sure how you know me enough to suggest a price, so I'm left questioning whether your site really works or not.
@aidan You are right, I like what Netflix does. Tell me what events you like and I'll show you more based on that. The thing to classify events (more than 10k per day) needs a lot of time, I want to be sure its critical feature before actually doing it :S
@aidan Can you think in any website with simple onboarding process that you liked? I think I don't need to ask for location upfront (after auto detection, it will be possible to change it), but it will be very interesting to ask for budget and interests.
@betoayesa The only thing I'd want is for you to ask me for my location, or at the least display my location. My problem was more so not displaying the relevant information to me on entry and the lack of personalization. Other than that, consider being generous with options and tweaks, look at https://nomadlist.com/ for example - it gives the impression the site is less of a catalog and more a tool. Humans like tools.
@aidan I'm agree with you. I made a very large search form, and hide it later cause mobile version. I also had a button at the top like "Change your location", hidden also. I tried to simplify things in this first iteration, it was like a catalog of features... too much ...
