@rrhoover There's been a few other attempts but none took off. Gas is still an issue but we're hoping to mitigate this with level 2 solutions over time.

@krishan711 true. Btw, what if someone mints something wildly offensive? Let it ride or do you have ways to combat that (which I realize may go against the ethos of the project)?

@rrhoover Yep so the content is stored on the chain but we think it's our responsibility to not show it in the UI. We always pictured that once the content is on chain anyone can recreate MDTP on their own website in a different way (e.g. a 3d rendered version) similarly it would be their responsbility to not show the content there. For us this happens because our server caches everything on chain to be loadable super fast and we would overwrite the values in this cache. it would mean the bad stuff is still on chain but not shown in our UI

Hello all 👋 thanks for checking out million dollar token page 🤗 I'm Krishan on of the builders of MDTP. We were astonished by Alex Tew's milliondollarhomepage when it came out in our teens and it was one of the big moments for me personally for understanding how powerful the internet was for young builders. I'm from the web2 age but when I heard about NFTs I saw this as a fun opportunity to try and replicate what Alex did and show people how NFTs can actually be used (altho we love the PFP projects). We've been in beta for months (thanks everyone who helped!) And have just launched in mainnet. Our plan is to release the tokens in tranches so that we can control it and not just have a few big owners - we want everyone to be able to participate. The first tranch of 1000 tokens is 0.01eth only so get in whilst you can. And do remember to upload an imagine once you have :) 🚀 We'll be around all day so just reach out if you ha e any questions at all 👌
