@valeriia_dziubenko, thanks for your queries. It uses PKI based Elliptic-curve Diffie-Hellma(ECDH) key exchanges and AES-256-GCM algorithm based on Noise Protocol. Yes, compared to classic VPN, it doesn't depend on VPN gateways but direct peer to peer connections that improves user experience.
