Hi all, founder of the app here.
I've created this as I needed an easy way to gather images, videos and webpages for the projects I was working on. It's unique selling point is that it is not project based, like most organisation tools, but tag based. This makes it very flexible in how you can re-organise what you imported, and how you group them together.
Here is how you can try it:
1. Create your free account from the main page: https://mediatag.io
2. You will then arrive on the dashboard. First thing you should do is install the extension from https://mediatag.io/extension
3. Then you can right click on any image (start from google image if you re not sure where), and right-click on it and select "Import Image into Mediatag". A panel will open on the right allowing you to add tags. This video shows you how it should happen:
4. You can also import any webpage. Simply click on the extension badge, and you will have a similar panel allowing you to add tags.
Once you've done that, you should have a good idea how to import anything into MediaTag. You can do the same a videos from vimeo/youtube, and even upload files.
But you can also go back to your dashboard and see how it is displayed. This video shows you how easy it is to re-organise things (by simple mouse selection + drag'n drop):
- And if you want to upgrade to a paying account, here is a coupon to get 30% off for one year: https://mediatag.io/plans?coupon...Some of the upcoming features I am also working on:
- follow a user and/or tags, so you can get updates of what has been discovered by that person on that specific subject. For instance, here I made the tag 'blade runner' public: https://mediatag.io/dashboard/ta..., so you will be able to get updates if I tag more videos or articles about it.
- import and auto-tagging of RSS feed and browser bookmarks
- API (obviously)
- private sharing
Looking forward to read your questions and critics!
