CON:
The entire reason men swipe right on everyone and send copied messages is simply because women hardly ever respond to or go on dates with us. Trust me, it's not for lack of trying. We've stopped "trying" because it actually does not work. Men have found that a wide net with a tried-and-true first line works better. That's why we do it.
Men are happy with Bumble because we feel as though, holy shit, women have to put a little effort into the conversation at the beginning! You don't know how annoying it is to put effort into the first message with a woman in whom you have interest and for her to not respond--or to give monosyllabic responses. That happens over and over with men on dating sites. Wide net fixes that.
For you to take away that power doesn't make us want to use a dating app more.
PRO:
I love the REAL/FUN option. That is a game-changer to me. Now two people can have no strings attached sex with everything out in the open... and no one is getting duped into thinking the relationship is something different than it really is. But I feel like Bumble/Tinder/OkCupid can copy that feature easily if it gets popular.
@albert_nguyen Again, the less handsome guy already tried giving the meaningful messages to women on Tinder. Those don't work. If they did work, trust me, we'd revert back to them. Just feedback from a guy who has spent tons and tons of hours using online dating apps--as well as gets feedback from clients who have done the same. But good luck with LUCK!
