Life Tracker

Maker
Hey PH! It’s Alex here, founder and CEO of Bloomy Lab. First off, I want to say a huge THANK YOU to @kevinwilliams for hunting Life Tracker :). “If You’re Not Collecting Productivity Data, You’ll Never Succeed at Work” - Michael Schrage Michael Schrage’s articles planted the seed of creating an app that would help people track their life easily. You can find more details in the links below: https://hbr.org/2016/02/if-youre... https://hbr.org/2015/08/feedback... There was a time when the tricky MBA interview question was “What is your greatest weakness?” Now it’s more right to ask “How do you measure your success while fighting your weakness?” Life Tracker is designed to track no less than your life cycle. If you are a busy working professional or a student, at some point in your life you might have wondered where the time went. This app can help you with that. The modern world is all about Data. The KPIs and OKRs show the effectiveness of a company. That is why sooner than later you will be asked to show your personal KPIs on various aspects of your day-to-day life. Not only do companies need professionals, they need people who are capable of showing the effectiveness that they bring to the company. Here is the story behind the idea of Life Tracker. As it always happens, I was reviewing 2020 in the beginning of 2021. The post-pandemic year has changed everything for everyone. Even for those who didn't want to change. For many people it did no good. A lot of things began influencing our lives in one way or another: work from home, personal life, isolation. All of this has impacted my life as well. Especially, when you are turning 30. And I was turning 35 in 2021…It was also helpful and very insightful to have a look at my life in years, months, weeks and days as Tim Urban suggests https://waitbutwhy.com/2014/05/l... This is when you start thinking where the time goes? Do I spend it effectively? What should I measure? I was also inspired by James Clear and Paul Graham. https://twitter.com/paulg/status... “1) develop a bias for moving fast 2) consistently ask, “What’s the real goal here and is there a better way to accomplish it?”... you can accomplish a lot in one life. 3) decide how to measure progress 4) measure it regularly” I should also notice that I was a HUGE fan of all kinds of time-management systems. In the last 10 years I have tried every single time tracking tool you know or don’t know. Having tried all of these, I came to a conclusion that none of the tools gave me the answers I needed and did not measure my time the way I wanted it to be measured. As a result, I made up a prototype that had 70% of the functionality of the tool I was looking for. None of the Silicon Valley or HBR productivity gurus had recommended anything similar so far. And here we are at Bloomy Lab, testing it through 2021. Now it’s high time, in the new 2022, have a look at your life from a different perspective. How would you change your life, your career, your routine for the better, without giving up next month? We created Life Tracker that you can use every day, you will see your effectiveness and improve it. Adjust Life Tracker to your personal needs with these awesome features: ✅ create unlimited activities and track them whenever you want 💁🏼‍♂️ categorize your activities in your own way without limits 🙀 get surprising insights into your actual lifestyle with statistics 💪 stay motivated and balance your life with visible goals 📈 compare your goal and real contribution, see how they change 😻 customize the look according to your style preferences This is real magic - when we see how we spent every hour, day, week, month, year. We can show it to our boss and the closest ones. I believe that every one of us can change their lives for the better, improve their quality of life and the surroundings. And the better we know what we spend our time on, the better we know how we can manage our future. We can create more wonderful things and spend more time with our loved ones. I would also like to recommend this book to everyone who is struggling to become more productive and fight procrastination https://www.amazon.com/12-Week-Y... Happy New Year, dear PH community! Become a better version of yourself in 2022 with Life Tracker. Reach out to get your personal promo code for free use and new features!

Where is my time going? Am I managing it efficiently? What should I measure first? I've been asking myself these questions for quite a long, so I'm curious if anyone else faced this problem 🤔 I think tracking your life is one of the best ways to measure progress. To make it regular and keep life balance in mind, we've created Life tracker ✨ So, do you track time? 😉

@maria_batryn I believe the majority of us are only tracking our working hours. Love the idea that I can track my life now. Happy to learn that others are also thinking of the questions that I am asking myself "Where is my time going? Am I managing it efficiently? What should I measure first?" I would love to test it out.

@nick_mapup Tracking working hours is a great start! I think many of us don't even do that. I'd love to get your feedback!
