Legis Music offers a lifetime Royalty-Free license to be able to use our music anywhere at any time, from Youtube videos and apps to TV, Radio and Cinema.
As a solo entrepreneur, I started to build Legis Music (previously known as Snail Music) in 2016. It's been a wild ride since that moment, but after one year it was profitable while I focused on SEO and affiliate marketing.
A lot has changed since then and, due to changes in the Google Algorithm, 3-4 months ago I decided to shift my efforts and offer Royalty-Free music licenses as well.
Because of my 7 years of experience, I believe people need a really easy-to-understand license when it comes to music, no one wants to read license terms and not be able to use the music as they please, when they please.
So then I created the easiest license you can find. Just pay once, and have lifetime access, with a free tier for personal projects, a 'Personal Plan' for Youtube, apps and social media and a 'Business Plan' for any possible use case that you can come up. Long gone are the days (when I started) when companies were offering $29 for a single-song personal license.
After that many years, this feels like a fresh start for the business again, I'm excited and happy at the same time I'm terrified, as is the first time I have direct clients, and all that goes with it.
One thing I did and will continue to do, for example, is to answer personally all the emails that people send us, as I want very close contact with what our visitors need and want.
I know by no means we're competing with the big companies that are in this industry, with hundreds of employees and millions in funding. We're a small, family company and we will continue to be, as we value other things in life more than only economic growth.
All this said, any feedback is appreciated. Thank you very much :)
@pa_bl_00 Hey Tony, really dig the vibe and feel of this! I see it right that in total there's a bit fewer than 150 songs in the library? Any plans on extending the library, and if so, roughly how many songs should a customer expect to be added a month?
@omwow Hi! Yes, we added 100 songs on January and 50 more on February, still very little but our goal is to keep adding around ~50 a month. Thank you for asking!
@pa_bl_00 Nice, in general I'm a fan of keeping the bar on quality high even if it means extending the library at a bit slower speed. For me there's a lot of value in having a tastefully curated selection of music so I don't have to waste a lot of time sifting through mediocre songs.
