In my previous job as a VC, I met a dozen new builders every day. Not once, not twice, but every time I found it hard to objectively validate people’s skills – not by their previous employers and schools but by their actual work and outcomes. After diving deep into the existing solutions, I found the problem reappearing in the global labor market across fields. People are measured based on status symbols and networks instead of results or valuable achievements, like open-source contributions. With @joni_karras, we think the issue lies in missing trust and verification methods. Existing methods for talent evaluation are insufficient for modern online-based work, leading hiring to happen within exclusive inner circles. This fails both builders and hiring organizations – thus a year ago, we teamed up to make your achievements matter again. We at Kleoverse are developing the portfolio for web3 builders. We have built a protocol – Proof-of-Talent – to verify and record achievements on-chain. You can create skill scores based on your achievements and gather this information into an intuitive, highly actionable portfolio.
