Kitty Launcher is a task bar project launcher for developers that allows you to quickly launch your code editor of choice and terminal. I helped @xcast3d with the UI and have been using a beta version for 2 weeks now. Awesome little tool to add to your developer toolbox!
Greetings,
I am the developer of Kitty Launcher. Kitty is my first Mac OSX app. As a long time web developer who works in a fast paced ad agency, moving from project to project can be a tedious task.
Kitty started as shell scripts that I would manually create for each project and place on my desktop like shortcut icons. These scripts would open my preferred code editor as well as a terminal window to the project I was going to start working on. Later iterations added automatic git pulls and opening finder (for front end work) but as my project count went higher and higher, my desktop became a mess and projects became harder to find.
Enter Kitty Launcher the app.
Kitty is a simple app that streamlined my project launching setup. By always being available in the menubar, it allows a quick way to find and launch a project without having to navigate through finder or terminal. Whether you work on multiple projects throughout the day or just one, it saves you precious time.
The best way to really understand Kitty Launcher is to try it. I invite you all to download the free trial available on the website and if you find it as useful as I do, please use the coupon code "producthunt" to save $2. Any and all feedback is greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Xavier
