Working in tech and with all the recent layoffs, I've had lots of people reach out to me about reviewing their resumes for their job search.
I ended up spending a fair bit of time in the evenings doing resume reviews for students, ex-colleagues and friends. Scaling myself was hard, so I built this app that uses chatGPT to review resumes against job postings.
It started out as a fun little side project, but it's already helped a few people by better tweaking their resumes to land a new job.
So I wanted to share it and hopefully it can be of use to others in their job search 💌 With all the layoffs going on, I'll keep it free.

Congrats on the launch ! I think you're onto something here. Beyond the unfortunate layoffs that have been rocking the tech sector, being able to tailor one's CV to the job is very important.
Hopefully with tools like yours people can increase their chances of being selected for the next round of the hiring process 🤞🏿.
What are your next steps with this tool?
@ed_forson my next steps are to improve the results so it can be even more useful and also being able to automatically review job descriptions from more websites (not just LinkedIn). The second is a difficult technical problem.
Also want to add an editor so that users can update their resumes in real-time through the app and re-run the analysis - should be more efficient.
I'm open to other ideas!
@sasishan Great stuff. I wonder if it would make sense to also automatically apply for roles the user is interested in by having the AI automatically edit the CV of the candidate so that it increases their chances of making it to the next round.
Maybe too ambitious at this stage hehe.

I did add the ability to create a specific cover letter for a job based off the actual resume.

In any case, I'm impressed with how you've taken something hard and scaled it up to help people—that's pretty awesome! 🤩 Let's hope it helps even more people land their dream jobs! 🤞
It is definitely a really good tool but there are things that I believe can improve it even more. For example, having to put your CV every time. The user can have a profile and then the AI can use that profile to create a good CV/Cover letter. Also, maybe show where to put the skills that you recommend on the CV.
