Drop in and hang out with your friends when they’re watching videos on websites like YouTube/Prime Video, or share your own activity so friends can hang out with you! Video syncing and in-call games create a fun experience for spontaneous social video chats.
Hi Product Hunt!
We built Interlounge because, simply put, there’s no easy way to browse the web with friends. With school being virtual for the past year, we spent a lot of time trying to schedule virtual hangouts and find stuff to watch/play online during those meetups; amid coordinating availabilities, finding things to do online, and syncing everyone up to feel like we were hanging out together, though, the calls felt more like chores than fun. We built Interlounge to bring the spontaneity and effortless synchronization of in-person hangouts to the browser.
Using Interlounge is simple -- open the extension to see what your friends are up to online, and click “Visit” to drop into a call with them while syncing the video they’re watching to your own browser. It’s that easy!
Download our extension from the Chrome Web Store to get started!
Please leave us any feedback or questions in the comments.
Thanks!

While the idea is definitely interesting, I wonder if people would browse the web the same way they would when they know they're with someone who's potentially looking at what they're doing. Have you received any feedback yet, on a beta version for example?
@rubenwolff Thanks for the feedback! Sharing activity is opt-in and only on a handful of streaming sites (YouTube/Twitch/Prime Video/Netflix/Hulu) - we'll be sure to tweak the messaging to reflect that. Within our initial batch of users, people tend to switch into sharing when in long content consumption sessions (e.g. Netflix binge) and switch out otherwise.
