What I truly like about this app, is how it just makes reading and being updated with what you care about on a platform so cluttered like twitter, so easy, clean and more attractive to my eyes. Twitter was never my strength but willing to dig into twitter with this app as it clears out and brings tweets in a clean redable space and also helps to eaisly recognize what is trending in the area! This makes twitter less confusing and easier to navigate through for me. I think @mbalkini you should have an built in bookmarker for later to read tweet, with a reminder that helps you remeber you have some tweets you yet want to discover!
@k_roushdy Thanks for your feedback and yes our main focus was on the clean presentation. Regarding the bookmarking, i think reminders is a good addition to the app, specially if the app remind you of your daily saved tweets. Right?
@mbalkini it would be perfect to have these reminder as i have noticed this is a feature now in a lot of social media platforms and we contantly have these links saved for later reads but we usually forget about them. They get lost or are not organised and we never tackle them again. That might be another issue you might tey to solve here.
Hi Product Hunters,
I am so excited to list my first product since joining Product Hunt at its early days. I was hoping to get your feedback on something I have been working on with my friend @abdelqaderr on its design and coding for the past 6 weeks. #InHour, "The Last Hour World Stories Powered By Twitter”.
The idea of the app really came from a personal need, where I wanted to keep up with stories, news and what’s happening on the largest and fastest news distribution network; Twitter.
My mission in #InHour is to build an easy, clean and sleek way to keep up with trends and stories of the world and your favorite Twitter users hour by hour and never miss a single story, with the ability to retweet, favourite, reply and even save a story for later.
It is a ”hands off” filter layer on top of Twitter, so there no connections are made. You don't need to do anything, there are no profiles, followings, followers, etc. All what you have to do is to add your preferred twitter accounts or hashtags and seamlessly keep up with what they are tweeting separately in a clean and uncluttered way, or swipe left for your nearby trending stories.
Lastly, I added a feature for savvy Twitter users. It is a feature that allows you to get stories from more than just one hour, maybe 2, 3, 12 up to 24 hours ago.
I have many more features in my head, but I want to get your feedback on the best way to get this app moving forward and to get the current version to suit your needs and bring the best experience for you.
Hint: I am so sorry for any bugs and crashes it is our first built app.
@k_roushdy thank you Karim, I think you have a very valid point and we'll include it soon. What else do you think would be necessary features to have on the app?
@abdelqaderr i think it should be about making people engage with interesting content as much as possible. Content and its discovery process should be fun and smooth. Instead of pressing on links and having content load, you can have people slide up to view full the full content. The more smooth the process and discovery of interesting content, will make people stay longer to view extra content.
