I'm so excited to finally release our iOS app. It's been in the works for a long time and I'm so happy to finally get some feedback on it. I've noticed that it's nearly impossible for me to spend less than 5 minutes on it because I get so sucked in. In fact, I'm pretty sure productivity in the office is dropping because of it. I'd love to hear what you guys think. If anyone has any suggestions then please let me know!
Congrats on the launch, @mrgrim151 and team. Imgur seems to serve two very different uses: (1) image hosting and (2) image browsing. #1 is more utilitarian and #2 is largely driven by the community (feel free to correct me if I'm off base here!).
Is one use case more important than the other? How does this play into how you prioritize what you build? Clearly the iOS app is built for #2.
P.S. LOL:
@rrhoover It was definitely built for #2 at first. We wanted to get it out into people's hands as soon as possible, so we had to defer the ability to upload to a later version. We think it's just a super fun experience to browse all the awesome content, and contributing back to that content will come very soon.
