I would like to introduce you to one of our investments, Ready Games, makers of ICON, an iOS and Android app that lets you create and share your own original fashion designs. Here’s how it works: 1. Create an account and design your own unique avatar 2. Share your avatar to a social feed within the app 3. Add friends, interact with other avatars, link your designs to an NFT, and more You can try the app out today in the iOS App Store and Android Store: iOS: https://apps.apple.com/ca/app/ic... Android: https://play.google.com/store/ap...

incredibly childish of course we all want to avoid the uncanny valley but this could have been built w tech of 15 yrs ago go back to the drawing board

@chandradekrio Respectfully disagree- the ability to render a 3D avatar on a mid-range mobile device would have been impossible 15 years ago, as smartphones didn't exist in 2006. They used WAP and had keyboards. The challenge here- to render a 3D metaverse experience on an average phone, while supporting a full creator network for content (Both on avatar and in 3D spaces), and link that to ownership rights (the blockchain didn't exist 15 years ago, either) is what we've solved.

@dbennahum I should have said 5 or 10 yrs. I mean, really comic book looks, nothing new. OK, you put blockchain & metaverse so you are on trend.

@dbennahum @chandradekrio I also want to add, let's not use the term childish anymore in tech, in gaming........ We WANT children to be part of the conversation, We want to empower them to use technology and games, and feel they are in an environment in which they feel safe. The design style you are referring to, is a direct impact of that. We want more young creators to feel that they are included and ignite their entrepreneurial spirit. Tech is tech, let's be more inclusive.

amazing- a fashion app that is non-toxic- i don't have to open myself to body shaming- can just have fun with my friends and express myself! has huge potential for kids and teens to not be bullied for what they look like.
David S. Bennahum
@futurefictionuk thanks! This project actually started with an interest in teens and social media safety: what happens once you separate from your body and express yourself using a whole new identity? We enabled voice modulation and face tracking (coming next) so you can be any gender (or no gender), body type, skin color, voice tone. So much of what's toxic on current social media relates to the fact that every post is a REAL person - and they're judged accordingly.
Christina Macedo
@futurefictionuk You are preaching to the choir! Thank you for recognizing this, and seeing what we are doing within ICON - let's empower more kids, teens and women to become part of the conversation, get them involved in tech in a positive way and encourage them to be creators in a safe, diverse and representative environments :)
