Hustl is a Mac app that easily records time-lapse videos of the screen to show off your work or show your work process.
Record your entire screen or just a cropped selection of it. And don't worry about performance issues – Hustl doesn't record a full-length video and then speed it up: instead, it takes screenshots and then stitches them together!
It took me a few seconds to get how to start the recording the first time but after that I found it really easy to use.
I have been beta testing this app for over a month and I love using it. For makers it is the perfect way to build in public and publicly share your progress. You can start recording with one click, start working, stop recording when you're done and share the recording on Twitter or Youtube. It's especially cool for design/dev work to watch the progression from start to finish
I have never used this app as I work with a windows. Hovewer, when we've gathered feedback for our new platform we've used a smiliar tool to record how people got along with the interface. On what they clicked and how easy the platform was to use for them.
I do have two questions:
1. Remains the quality of the video if you send it to a non-apple device?
2. Does it also record sound? (As we also recorded the conversation we had with the test-users. This was great as documentation of the feedback.)
