@lenakuld Haha! Certainly not - I'm from the UK and we're just as guilty. Serious answer: I have been an Engineering Manager for a long time and wanted to teach myself some things (React Native, releasing an app through the app store) that I hadn't personally done before. Less seriously, but perhaps more accurately: The idea made me laugh

On December 18th, 2020, my friend Simon messaged the group chat that we have for dumb/brilliant business and app ideas: "A map that tells you how far away you are from somewhere in hilAArious units of measure. e.g. I am 12,564 ducks away from the station" So I made it! Thanks to Simon Carter, Sunil Pithwa and Steve Sellick for their feedback, ideas & support

What a nice, fun design @dom_starkey! It really reminds me of Smoot's Ear - not sure if you've come across that story before, but I think there are plenty of folks out there who would appreciate this app!
