Goodcover’s mission is to build a community of members enjoying financial peace of mind at the lowest possible cost. Our first service offering is Renters Insurance at half the cost of legacy insurers.
Their reps hate their lives, I just spent 20 minutes getting transferred between departments, when clearly I clicked the right prompts to get to the claims department, they barely speak English and kept telling me I have the wrong department and need to call back during business hours… it’s 3pm
Garbage, low rates but read you contract. I had renters insurance my apartment had a flood due to the upstairs neighbors AC unit. I took videos and pictures. Goodcover wants original receipts of items purchase, then stated where was damage to items. I had mattress on the floor you can clearly see water damage. They want you to take your items to get repaired if it's is unrepairable then they may pay. Still unpaid for all my furniture due to water damage; BEWARE & STAY AWAY!!!
My home was burglarized last August 2023 Goodcover uses NARS risk service for claims adjusters they have yet to resolve my claim! They have put me under investigation. The adjuster is very rude,& nonchalant! I will be filing a lawsuit against good cover and nars for pain & suffering!!! Don’t get insurance from this company you will not be covered!!!
I liked Goodcover until I had a claim. I then learned they are the latest insurtech to slap a fancy looking UI on a broken and outsourced process. They outsource all of their claims to a company (NARS) who is not tech savvy , slow to respond, and really not delivering expected service levels from the folks at Goodcover directly. I am sad to learn that the company is great UNTIL you need them (filing a claim). In addition, the coverages that they provide for seem to be inadequate (there was an apartment fire, and I am having to fight to get movers and storage covered while the apartment is getting fixed). Additionally, claim company is not too familiar with the specific provisions and you are treated like a number. I am almost a month into my claim process and it is still unresolved. If you never plan on filing a claim (though, in reality who does?) then great company to save money and have a streamlined renters insurance experience. Otherwise, go with a company that handles their own claims or at least uses a company that matches their service level and tech approach. I am a current customer as long as it takes this claim to settle, then switching.
"Morgan Williams" lacks professionalism. Plays phone & email games & takes business matters personally. Actually got snappy with me on a few occasions due to her own ineptitude. Imagine answering the same question several times just for someone to get upset with you that they don't remember the answer. Either she has extremely low reading comprehension skills or purposely chooses to weaponize her inadequacy.I'm not sure.
"Johan Fajka" was also condescending and hopefully quit/got fired. Made several personal comments about the hotel I stayed in being expensive. I just wonder; how was that any of his business? Or what exactly that had to do with the case? He was handling my original case then out of nowhere without communication I was switched to Morgan.
The only adjuster that ever helped me was Kyle Laughlin. He's the only reason I even dealt with this company as long as I did, hopefully he has taken his skill set elsewhere as this company seems to be fraudulent & lacking authenticity all around. I doubt these are the real names of these people.
