GIMP is incredibly powerful. It does have a learning curve, but that's image manipulation for you.
I've been using GIMP for quite some time, and it's one of the best free image editing tools available. The range of features it offers, from basic editing to advanced graphic design, rivals many paid programs. For anyone looking for a powerful, open-source alternative to commercial software, GIMP is definitely worth trying!
It's free, a little cumbersome and not as easy to use as Photoshop. This is more for the Pros who understand layers etc
