This tool helps developers verify and test Apple App Site Association (AASA) files. Features include monitoring AASA integrity, comparing links from Apple’s CDNs and your host, managing deep links, syncing test URLs, and ensuring links work on all devices.
Hey Product Hunt! 👋
I'm excited to share https://getuniversal.link/, a new tool designed to simplify the testing and verification of Apple App Site Association (AASA) files. If you’ve ever faced challenges ensuring your Universal Links work correctly across devices, this tool is here to help!
Demo: https://getuniversal.link/facebo...
Key Features:
🛠 AASA File Verification: Instantly check your AASA file configuration for any issues.
🔗 Link Creation: Easily generate links to test Universal Links functionality.
🤝 Team Collaboration: Sync and share test URLs and deep links with your team.
⚡ Quick Access: Save GetUniversal.link as a bookmark on your device or iOS Simulator for faster testing.
Why I Built This:
As an iOS developer, I know how frustrating it can be to troubleshoot Universal Links. They’re hard to reason about, write tests around, and can silently break without any warning.
I created GetUniversal.link to provide a straightforward solution that makes the process smoother and more efficient. My goal is to help development teams focus more on building great apps and less on debugging links.
How It Works:
When you visit GetUniversal.link, simply enter your domain name (e.g., youtube.com). The site will fetch a copy of the AASA file from Apple’s servers, including information about when it was last indexed and the next scheduled crawl. This helps you catch mistakes in your AASA file before Apple indexes it.
You’ll get a configured dashboard where you can easily create and test Universal Links. Since the path is static, you can bookmark the site and access this dashboard on your device or simulator for quick and easy testing. Create test links, grab Terminal commands for local testing, and verify Universal Link behavior directly on your mobile device.
Plus, you can also use this to test linking behavior on Android too 😉
Check out https://getuniversal.link/ and let me know what you think! 🚀
Thank you for your support, and happy testing!
